My Grandma passed on Saturday, she made it to the ripe old age of 94. She dealt with various health issues over the years and beat quite a few; but recent ones along with her age is probably what finally overcame her. She did quite a lot over her long life and traveled to and lived in many places. She ran a gas station and a diner, owned a bar, raised various livestock; and really didn't start slowing down til about 10-15 years ago and even then really didn't slow down too much. She was a self-described ornery woman. When asked how old she was, and people would almost always be surprised at the answer, the people would then ask how she managed to get to that age, Grandma would answer "Pure Orneriness". She was strong-willed but always tried to be friendly unless given a reason not to be as well and being good-humored and could be pretty quick with a laugh. She was never one to give up, but I suppose age finally caught up with her. I'll still be lurking around here as I always
